We’ve been working hard the past few weeks to get a lot of major functions completed, and today we’ve released quite a bit of what we’ve been working on. We’re still completing and testing a couple more things, so as always there is more to come.
First, we’ve had a lot of feedback from users about how we should handle discounting. So today we’ve released an improvement in how we handle discounts based on your feedback. Before, you could only add discounts at the item level. Now, you can create your discount types by accessing the Discounts from the Manager screen.
To add a discount type all you need to do is select the type of discount, give it a description, and enter the amount of the discount. Once you have that information entered, select whether or not the discount should appear on the receipt and then press the add button to create your new discount type.
Another major update is with our purchase ordering functions. We’ve completely overhauled what we once had, and now we have a powerful tool for you to create and manage your purchase orders.
Remember – if you’d like to use our purchase ordering features you’ll need to be signed up for the Plus plan. We’re testing another major addition to purchase orders, and we’ll let you know what it is when its ready to go. All I can say is that we’re very excited about it!
