The next page will bring you to a long form, but don’t worry, you should already know off hand all the information they need. They’ll ask for the basics, like your store’s name and address, but they also ask for some more helpful information like what your store’s hours are and what types of payment you accept. Filling out the form shouldn’t take you more than a couple minutes.
After you’ve completed and submitted the form to list your business, Google thinks about it for a while, and then within a day or two your business will be listed along with other local retailers. Here’s an example of what a Places listing might look like on a search results page, in this instance for the search “Fashion boutiques in Chicago”:
